Temporary Down Pipe – The Practical Solution for Large-Scale Sediment and Erosion Control

Introducing the Temporary Down Pipe, an efficient and cost-effective tool designed to meet council regulations for sediment and erosion control at construction sites. Ideal for managing water flow and preventing pollution, this popular product enhances productivity and safety for all trades working in wet conditions. The downpipe is made from durable plastic in a lay-flat tube form, measuring about 200mm across and available in lengths of 170m or customized to suit specific requirements, including 150mm and larger diameter downpipes.

Key Features:

  • Comprehensive Sediment Control: Effectively supports compliance with council sediment and erosion regulations, protecting the environment from site pollution.
  • Quick and Easy Installation: Installs efficiently using simple methods such as screws or duct tape, saving time on-site and enhancing safety.
  • Customizable Sizing: Available in 170m rolls or tailored lengths, with options to fit 150mm and larger downpipes for versatile applications.
  • Durable and Reliable: Constructed from a robust plastic lay-flat tube, ensuring durability and effective water flow management in various weather conditions.
  • Cost-Effective Solution: Minimizes costs associated with erosion control measures, contributing to a safer and more productive work environment.

Suggested Fixing Method:

  • Step 1: At the downpipe drop in the gutter, roll the TDP over about three times (as you would the top of a sock), then slip it up over the drop and secure with two screws.
  • Step 2: Insert a short, slit section of pipe at the stormwater end to keep the TDP open, securing with one screw.
  • Step 3: Alternatively, many builders use duct tape on both ends for a quick, secure hold.

Protect your site and streamline water management with the Temporary Down Pipe—the smart, efficient choice for comprehensive sediment and erosion control in any construction project!
